Tijuana Citizens take Streets again to void Presidential Process

TIJUANA, Mexico (Sunday, Jul 22).- "We won’t stop until the presidential election is invalid", "We won’t accept an imposition of the PRI" that was the theme of the second mega march organized by the YO SOY 132 organization that took place this Sunday in the border city and all around Mexico; the march here lasted 2 hours and another couple more in the Cuahutemoc square; it was as expected with lots of people chanting, clamming, jumping and singing for the electoral institutions to do their job HONESTLY and mainly stick to the constitution that with the INSCONSISTENCIES and evidence of BUYING VOTES that the election be VOID.

Many people showed up for this march, citizens from all ages supported a protest that began at Teniente Guerrero Park and ended at Cuahutemoc square were YO SOY 132 began to tell the people that "They said we will give up and still we are here", "This is just the beginning, were here and we won’t quit".

The main goal for this march was to gather signatures from people with their IFE credential number to make the Electoral Federal Institute VOID the Presidential election; their organization and coordination for this was with documents that were setup in tents with lots of citizens standing in line to sign; another goal was to have a zero incident or problems during the march which they achieved.

In the National scene, there were marches all over Mexico, the main one was in Mexico City; the primary reports are that only in the city of Leon Guanajuato were inexplicably the city police interrupted the march and in Oaxaca Oaxaca were PRI infiltrators had guns and fired shots in the air to dispersed that march were the MAIN obstacles in this Mexican citizens march.

Yo soy 132 Tijuana has this following statement:

This national mega march has the primary objective to protest the imposition of PRI candidate Enrique Peña Nieto as an apparent winner of the presidential voting last July 1st, in which we feel that this is an imposition to place him as elected president of the United States of Mexico. To this the Yo soy 132 movement stands to a firm posture to NOT recognize the legitimacy of this electoral process and there for the possible protest to take office of Enrique Peña Nieto.

Between the evidence that Yo soy 132 Tijuana could gather up and in pasted days were presented to the Electoral Federal Institute we found that:

The Electoral Process was manipulated, bought and had violence to achieve a benefit in favor of the PRI, what did not allowed the citizens to be free, to reason and to be informed in a way to execute their constitutional right to vote.

Because of the following, we demand the firing of the president chairmen of IFE and we propose in an expedite way, the creation of a new selection process of the chairmen. The base proposal is that the selection of the president chairmen of IFE will be given by a working citizen council and that manifest themselves against that the candidates to run IFE have lines or political tendencies that could debilitate again and that an impartial ethic’s will be the way that the institute will conduct. This proposition will be formally showed and sent to the National Yo soy 132.

The movement also protest the way that the PRI regime imposed their return, the one that represents autoritary and repression to the Mexican people.

The approval by part the government of the media campaign offered by powerful TELEVISA and TV AZTECA. In that of the manipulation and censored of freedom of expression and thought established in the not yet approved A.C.T.A. law.

The Anti-democracy that rules in our country and that goes against the ideals of democracy that are mark in our constitution.

The acts of violence towards who have actively manifested and proclaimed in the fight for the before mentioned.

We stand firm in our commitment with society and reinstate in this march that we are searching for the wellbeing of the Mexican people, from our peaceful posture without party preference, remembering that ¨All power comes from the people and its institutes itself for their profit. The people have all the time the hailing desire to alter or modify their way of government¨. ¨The time has come for Mexico to join together for a wellbeing¨.

If not will burned together… Who will lighten this darkness?

Yo soy 132 Tijuana will be gathering signatures to void the election starting tomorrow in front of the Cathedral in a tent in the Zona Centro, the only requirement is your IFE CREDENTIAL.
